At first sight, the impression given by this Grand Chamber judgement is that European judges have different and conflicting reasonings about the treatment of migrants. Looking at it more closely, the

European Court of Human Rights actually delivers a unifying and progressive reasoning which favours an ever more reinforced protection of human rights in Europe.
