20 octobre 2015 - Cour eur. dr. h., Gde Ch., Dvorski c. Croatie
The Grand Chamber’s judgment of 20 October 2015 in the case Dvorski v. Croatia brings some more details relating to the right of access to a lawyer as from the first interrogation by the police, established by the judgment in the case Salduz v. Turkey. After having enshrined a nearly unconditional right to immediate assistance of a lawyer, the Court answers here the question of the right to be represented by a lawyer of his own choosing at this initial stage of the criminal proceeding.
