What armenian genocide ?

15 octobre 2015 - Cour eur. dr. h., Gde Ch., Perinçek c. Suisse

By refusing to rule on the legal classification of the Turkish massacre of Armenians in 1915, the Grand Chamber found an infringement by Switzerland of the Turkish speaker’s freedom of expression. Indeed, he refuted that any act of genocide was committed in this circumstance. The Grand Chamber had no easy task to resolve this conflict between the freedom of expression and the respect of the identity and of the dignity of Armenians. The European Court’s solution, more in its motivation than in its conclusion, appears to be overly shy.
